Women's Wellness

This page speaks specifically to the experiences of women, but Tango & Co. Therapy warmly welcomes and serves individuals of all genders.

Women often find their way to me when life starts to feel overwhelming—when the sense of control they once had feels distant, and the effort to regain it has become exhausting. Sometimes this comes after a major life transition, but just as often, it’s the quiet accumulation of life’s unpredictability that leaves them feeling unsteady and unsure how to adapt.

Working with me, you may discover how helpful it can be to have an experienced partner in unraveling all of this. You can expect me to be curious, non-judgmental, patient and empathetic, with a positive attitude that may help to inspire you. And once I understand your goals, we’ll work together to develop and follow an organized but flexible plan for reaching them.

Areas of expertise

PROFESSIONAL WOMEN WITH A FAMILY

Women continue to face higher levels of work-related stress compared to men. Worrying about communicating effectively Women continue to face higher levels of work-related stress compared to men — and it doesn't look the same at every stage. Whether you're early in your career and trying to prove you belong in the room, juggling ambition with the demands of partnership or family, flying solo and building something entirely your own, or reimagining who you are now that your career or the kids' schedules no longer define your days — the pressure to do it all, and do it beautifully, is exhausting. Being heard, respected, and valued shouldn't feel like a daily negotiation. I work with professional women at every stage to find balance, reclaim their confidence, and build a life that actually feels fulfilling — not just impressive on paper.

RELATIONSHIP STRUGGLES

Relationships are complicated — to say the least. Whether you're navigating a new romance, feeling invisible in a long-term partnership, butting heads with a teenager, managing a difficult boss, or grieving friendships that have quietly faded — relationships at every stage can leave us feeling lost, lonely, or just plain frustrated. Therapy offers a supportive space to find clarity, better understand your role in patterns of conflict, and start showing up in your relationships the way you truly deserve to.

WOMEN EXPERIENCING LIFE TRANSITIONS

Life transitions come in many forms — some joyful, some painful, and some that rewrite the script when you weren't looking. Maybe you're a millennial who thought you'd have it all figured out by now, navigating the pressure of building a career, finding your person, or deciding whether you even want the traditional path everyone assumes you do. Maybe you're stepping into marriage, starting a family, or realizing that flying solo was actually the bravest choice you ever made. Or perhaps you're on the other side — navigating perimenopause, menopause, an empty nest, or reimagining who you are after decades of showing up for everyone else. There's no algorithm for any of this — and that's exactly where I come in. I work to support women through these transformational periods to identify and implement functional, healthy ways to adapt.

COLLEGE & GRAD STUDENTS

College is supposed to be the best years of your life — so why does it feel so hard? Between the academic grind, social comparisons, navigating family dynamics whether you're living at home or out on your own for the first time, and figuring out who you even are, it's a lot. Therapy can help you navigate all of it with more clarity, less chaos, and a little more confidence in who you're becoming.

YOUNG WOMEN (12-18)

Being a young woman today is a lot — and that's not just something adults say to sound relatable. Between the pressure to get good grades, get into the right school, show up for your friends, navigate family dynamics, figure out who you are, and look like you have it all together on social media — it's genuinely exhausting. And sometimes it's hard to explain to the people around you why everything feels so heavy when your life looks fine from the outside. That's exactly the kind of thing we talk about here. No judgment, no agenda — just a space that's entirely yours. I work with young women ages 12 and up to help them cope with these pressures in ways that actually stick

BODY IMAGE ISSUES

From the time we're old enough to scroll, flip through a magazine, or overhear a comment about someone's body — including our own — we start receiving messages about what we're supposed to look like. And those messages don't get quieter with age. Whether you're a teenager comparing yourself to filtered images online, a woman in her 30s navigating a body that's changed after pregnancy, or someone in her 50s or 60s making peace with a body that the world suddenly seems to have very strong opinions about — body image is a lifelong conversation.

The good news? It doesn't have to stay a painful one. I work with women ages 12 and up to move from body shame and discomfort to a place of genuine acceptance, love, and care — because every body, at every size, and every age, deserves that.
